This bay in Datça is truly magnificent, but the hidden gem lies in the bay behind the hill. Unfortunately, there's no way to descend to that bay, and boats can't dock due to the strong winds, so it remains untouched and pristine 💙. We visited Gıynap Bay (or Gıyrap, maybe Girdap 🤪) early in the morning, and it was wonderfully calm and quiet, unlike the more accessible bays. It was clean and serene. However, by noon, two tour boats arrived and immediately polluted the bay. As soon as we got closer, we saw fresh onion leaves and refrigerator bags washed ashore. Sometimes, it's better if such places remain unknown 😔. On our way back in the afternoon, we encountered many people on the path leading down to the shore. It seems that just as many people know about it as those who don't. The navigation route ends a minute or two too early. On the way to Knidos, with the bay on your left as shown on the map, there's a land area on your left. We noticed a few parked vehicles here, which indicated a path down to the bay. From the start of the path, if you descend a bit, you'll see beehives on the right - visible from the road - and that path leads to the bay. The road is dirt, with large and small stones, rough patches, and narrow areas through grass and trees. Even as you see the bay and get closer, you might wonder if you're on the right path. Chances are, you are. For families, we walked to the bay with a child and a baby, carrying camping chairs, food, and drinks. Wishing a happy holiday to those who visit 💙.
