Love it! It's summer so parking was packed and beach was crowded. We are a family of 4 with 2 toddlers and a dog so paying $10 for parking was absolutely worth it. Water and beach was beautiful with cool mountainous backdrop. Will definitely love to come back here.
This beach is not as crowded as Pope Beach. The water was clear. The parking lot was full for two consecutive days so we waited for the street parking and parked there when we got the spot. It's a little bit of a walk from the street parking. It also has RV Parking or camping. We can rent Kayaks and supplies at this location.
The first beach I've been to facing snow capped mountains! This beach was low key and relaxing on a weekday afternoon. There were lots of campers, swimmers, and people walking and wading along the water like myself. It is $10 to park so definitely make the most of your visit.
The views are amazing. The beach was nice and clean. I like that I was able to find parking and that there were a lot of benches and picnic tables to choose from. I was visiting from out of town and didn't have my own beach chairs. There is a $10 parking fee which I didn't mind at all. I didn't see a playground for kids which would've been nice. The water was freezing cold but that wasn't an issue either because it was a 95 degree day. The sand is a little rocky so beach shoes are recommended. It didn't get 5 stars because it was pretty crowded but I guess that's expected from a public beach. I would return because it's well taken care of and the views are amazing.
Beautiful beach, bigger compared to others. Serene views of the mountains. Got there in the afternoon and still managed to get a spot on the water by the shrubs.
