Six of us embarked on a six-night getaway in a charming three-bedroom villa. Perfectly situated between the restaurant and the pool, our villa offered stunning views of the outer islands and a level of privacy that felt like our own little haven. The two spare bedrooms had a unique feature – a direct line of communication through the roof, which could be a bit tricky for those who snore loudly! However, the lounge provided a peaceful retreat for late-night readers, and the shared bathroom was sealed off for added privacy, so it didn't bother us.
Regarding location, villas 1 to 7 hugged the beach, offering direct access to the water but sacrificing a bit of privacy as passersby strolled by. Villas 9 and 10, on the other hand, offered a more secluded experience with equally stunning views. Villas 12 and 11 promised privacy but came with a caveat – a constant stream of boats ferrying eager snorkelers right in front of your doorstep! And let's not forget the star attraction – the pool! Fabulous and rendering the idea of a private plunge pool unnecessary in my opinion.
What truly shone during our stay were the moments of care and support we received during a medical emergency. Pascale, the on-site manager, was an absolute gem, orchestrating doctor visits, taxi transfers, and medication, ensuring we had everything we needed.
The resort itself was a true gem just a short distance from the airport. The house reef was lovely, boasting coral that rivaled even the most renowned Pacific and remote destinations. The best part? Your own personal boat service, ready to whisk you away to nearby islands at a moment's notice – a luxury included in your stay! We used this service at least twice daily, making the resort a fantastic ROI for us. That's something you'd have to shell out hundreds of dollars for at any other place!
The food was delightful, reflecting the local standards, and the staff were nothing short of amazing. Mistakes happened, as they do on any island, but their dedication to making things right was truly commendable.
When it came to activities, there was no shortage of fun – from biking to kayaking to paddleboarding. Six nights might seem like a lot, but it gave us ample time to enjoy every moment without feeling rushed. Plus, a rainy day or two? Just the perfect excuse to curl up with a good book!
In short, this resort is a gem. Perfect for a family getaway. Highly recommended!
