Review of the Natural Pools in Madeira
Absolutely stunning and a must-visit spot in Madeira! These natural pools, formed by volcanic lava and filled with the fresh Atlantic seawater, are surrounded by breathtaking ocean views, making it one of my favorite places on the island. The pools are well-maintained, offering a safe and accessible way to experience the beauty of nature up close. That said, the entrance and stairs can be slippery, so take caution. Keep in mind that if the tide is too high, the pools might be temporarily closed for safety reasons. The serene connection to nature here is unparalleled, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Tip: Don’t forget to bring a snorkel to explore the underwater beauty it is absolutely worth it!
This was such a lovely place to visit! We went snorkeling and saw many fish under water. However it was a bit hard to walk on the spiky stones so definitely recommend shoes and just beware that it’s a bit hard to lay there and tan. But to swim and see it’s cool.
