We stayed in a bungalow near the leash-free zone for dogs. We arrived at 10am, they told us the room is not ready yet and will be ready latest at 5pm. We should give them our phone number so they can call us when the room is ready. So we waited until 3pm, we decided to call them, and they said yeah the room is ready. So we waited 5 hrs for the cleaning services to be ready with the room. We expected the bungalow to be clean. It wasn't. Everything was full of dust. Inside the bungalow are two rooms and one bathroom; in both rooms two rather large spiders were in the corners on the roof, the bathroom on the other hand had a toilet cover that was broken. You get only a toilet paper roll, after that you need to buy your own toilet paper. The floor is full of dust and dirt. In front of the bungalows is a bigger construction place with construction machines (Bagger) which are doing excavations, which leads to shaking front doors of the bungalow including shaking of the floor (can be felt if you are inside the bungalow). Restaurant is not of high quality. Tried the búfala and the diavola pizza. Didn't think Italians would be able to deliver bad pizza. Those guys taught me differently. The beaches are a joke. Beaches are full of algae (see pictures). You simply cannot enter the water nicely. It is not nice, additionally there are a lot of smaller crabs crawling around the shore. Our dog was happy though. He enjoyed the beach. However, u need to be aware of the amount of smaller kids walking around the beach. So actually, it is not exactly what we expected, especially considering the fact that on the website it explicitly says that there is a specific dog beach. Let me tell you - no, there is no such thing. There is an official beach for people with umbrellas and chairs - here no dogs are allowed. Next to it, there is anothrr part of the beach, which is full of algae, but also kids playground is there as well as families with little kids. So here you also cannot go to the beach with the dog nicely. And next to that beach there is another beach, also with algae (this is where the pictures are from). So here you could go with the beach. But officially it is not allowed as per reception. They told us something about fines of up to 500€. However we saw some people go to that beach with their dogs anyways, so we did too.
In a nutshell, the city of grado is beautiful, the beaches over there are super - but this ressort is really not good. Would not repeat the stay.
