This is a fantastic little beach! I discovered it in the summer of 2023 and have returned many times because of its wonderful atmosphere. Even on the busiest days, it never feels overly crowded.
It's an ideal spot for walking, relaxing, reading a book, swimming, or just floating in the waves. The other visitors are generally low-key and respectful. In all my visits, I've only encountered the annoyance of smoking once.
The beach features a large building with bathrooms (compost toilets), showers (bring quarters or bills for the change machine), and changing stalls. There are also outdoor rinsing stations.
During the summer season, there's food service offering burgers and similar items, as well as Del's lemonade. (I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment on it.) There's also a kiosk selling necessities like cover-up gear, sunglasses, and sunscreen. (I haven't purchased anything there, so I can't speak to the prices or specific items available.)
This beach is truly a hidden gem!
