The Blitz Beach is more captivating than the sandy one. Be sure to visit it next time you're in the area.
This beach is one of the best I've been to lately. It's perfect for fishing, walking, jogging, running, and taking in the beautiful view. You can also watch many ships passing by. We really enjoyed our time here.
The beach is quite large, but be cautious not to venture too far out as the tides can be strong and you may become stranded. The sand is decent, but unfortunately there is a lot of trash, litter, and dog waste scattered around, which is disappointing. Parking is convenient with options at the Leisure Centre carpark or nearby streets. We visited to see the Another Place statues, which were odd but interesting to witness.
I enjoy visiting this beach for the day from Liverpool. There are plenty of free parking options nearby. The beach is wheelchair accessible and the side with the boating lake is usually quieter and less windy near the dunes. There is also a duck pond with swans and a spacious green grassy area.
This beach is truly unique. With around 100 iron statues scattered throughout the beach and water, and the Liverpool docks in the background, the scenery is absolutely stunning. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely walk or to let the kids run around and burn off some energy.
