Impressive 13th century castle with stunning views over to the Isle of Arran. The Castle is mostly in ruins except for the Keep which has been nicely restored. Entrance is free and it is well worth a visit. The grounds are pleasant to walk through and there is a local bus service which stops at the gate. This runs between Tarbert and Lochgilphead,
Nice castle ruin; you can go inside the tower and walk over to the old chapel (ruin) with graveyard;
Fish smokery with fantastic fish is next to the ruin.
