Lovely little bay but not very easy to get to with little signage from the car park lots of trees blocking the path and a steep downward towards the bay. Definitely worth it if you’re able but definitely not for everyone. Spotted some dolphins from the bay too.
Bit of a trek to get here but worth it. The views on the way are stunning and it's set up for any over night considerate campers. Everyone is mentioning how bad it is to get down but I'm sure if this a place you wanted to go then you'd check weather conditions like any other place as under foot can be dangerous.
Braw we place for a wander. 1.2mile walk to the beach through fields, path is reasonably posted. last couple fields were plowed when I went the path along the edge was overgrown and a bit rough (manageable though) track down the the beach itself is rutted, steep and narrow not for everyone but worth the trek. Also a little yellow hammer followed me half way back a bonus I guess :)
Very nice But the way down to beach is not for everybody. A very narrow foothpath with lots of unfriendly nettle kind of plant. Not recomended if you have disability, fear from hight or with small children ,unless your child use to hiking. One wrong step and can fall down 100 meter.... so to way up and down its not safety all. However because of the way the beach is not busy at all.
Parked besides Highfields. Enough space for 2-3 cars on rough ground beside cul-de-sack. Short but fairly muddy track along edge of field and then through woodland to start of a zig zag narrow footpath down cliff side. This path can be sketchy in places after rain so proceed with caution as it’s fairly exposed in places and steep. Shore is quite interesting with a natural sea arch and two decent sized caves in the opposite direction. Low tide is best time to access these.
