Cala Mesquida

Warning: Beware of a potential scam at this beach. The beach itself is amazing, with its fine sand and calm waves on most days. However, there is an issue with the person who rents and sells umbrellas in the middle section of the stairs. They ask for a deposit (twice the rental amount) and then mysteriously vanish hours before the agreed return time. While we only lost 5 EUR, we have witnessed others being swindled out of as much as 20 EUR. Please be cautious!

Nous sommes allés trois fois sur cette plage et c’est certainement notre préférée à Majorque. Le parking est gratuit, bien qu’il ait tendance à être bondé après 11 heures. Ils ont un bar où vous pouvez acheter de la nourriture et des boissons, mais ils n’acceptent que l’argent liquide. La plage est bien entretenue et l’eau est magnifique. Faites simplement attention à la direction du vent. Nous avons connu deux jours de mer calme, mais un jour, le vent venait du nord et cela a rendu l’eau un peu agitée. Ils proposent des parapluies à louer à 16,5 € par jour, mais il est conseillé d’arriver tôt si vous souhaitez en obtenir un. Pour autant que je sache, il n’y a pas de douches ou de toilettes disponibles.

This was definitely the best beach we visited during our short vacation in Majorca. There is a parking lot right above the beach, and it can get busy at times. If you plan on going, I suggest going early in the morning or during lunchtime. That's when we went and had no trouble finding a place to stay. Overall, the beach is nice and clean. The water is incredibly clean and comes in amazing colors. On one side, the waves can get a bit stronger, but it's still very enjoyable. You can rent umbrellas and there are also water sports equipment available. There is a lifeguard who carefully watches over the entire area. I definitely recommend this beach, as both the people and the views are worth it!

I would give this beach a rating of 4 out of 5. The water is warm and has a nice color, and it looks amazing when you take a picture of the beach from the top of the stairs. However, there is a problem with parking if you come during normal hours like 11am. Since we are on vacation, I don't want to wake up at 6am just to come to the beach. We ended up parking in some off-road area, and we were lucky not to get a ticket this time. Then, you have to walk to the beach, which is not too bad, unless you decide to go back because there are no places to hide from the sun. There are a lot of people here, but you can still find a spot for your towel, so don't worry. Although there is no parking, there is space for your towel. If you want to go into the water, good luck and try not to step on any kids in the shallow water because it's impossible not to. The water is okay, warm, and not dirty like in Cala Agulla, for example. However, I did see some small jellyfish in the shallow water, so be careful not to encounter them. There is a nudist section at the end of the beach, so try not to stare too much if you pass by that area. An interesting feature here is the wooden bridge. You can walk on it and easily reach the end of the beach. It's great for taking pictures, but there are no shades, so be careful not to get too sunburned. Overall, it's worth coming here, but be prepared.

We went to the beach when there was a "Red flag" warning, which meant that there was only a small area designated for swimming. Despite this, we had a great time! However, it was not suitable for children due to the potential dangers. The cost for 2 sun chairs and 1 umbrella was 16.40 Euros. There is sufficient room to bring your own umbrella and towel, but be prepared for the water to be quite salty. Unfortunately, there are no showers available. If you need to use the restroom, you can find them at the restaurant located uphill.
