The campsite is a small and tranquil spot located right on the shores of the stunning Lago di Caldonazzo. The nearby train is easy to get accustomed to and shouldn't deter you from visiting.
The lake offers fantastic opportunities for swimming, sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, surfing, and more. Small motorboats are permitted, though they are not very common. You can rent surf equipment at the nearby harbor.
On-site, there are two buildings equipped with showers, toilets, dishwashing, and laundry facilities. During my stay, these were cleaned once a day. Toilet paper was available most of the time. The facilities are decent; I've seen better, but also much worse. The pitches are reasonably sized compared to other Italian campsites, though not all offer ample shade. Cars are parked on the pitch if you're on the regular pitches, while those on the lakeside and just behind park their cars next to the 'main street,' still very close to your pitch.
A small supermarket is just a 5-minute walk from the campsite, perfect for getting fresh bread every morning. Larger supermarkets and bakeries are easily accessible by car. There's also a small but well-stocked fruit and vegetable shop about a 10-minute walk away, offering high-quality products.
The two nearby restaurants/hotels serve good food and offer takeaway coffee.
The surrounding area is diverse and beautiful, offering something for everyone. From the larger city of Trento, with plenty to see, to the Lupa di Lagorai, various walking trails, and little markets, there's plenty to choose from.
Overall, it's a fantastic place, and we will definitely return for another holiday.
