The beach is situated between Punta Piolala and the S.Vito pier. It is noticeably eroding in the section that belongs to the municipality of Ortona, where it has remained undeveloped. In the S.Vito area, beyond the historic lido, the municipality made the questionable decision to grant concessions for what used to be a free beach, using the term "free equipped beach" (a clear contradiction since a beach is either free or equipped). As a result, there are now three new bathing establishments that are almost always empty. Their main business seems to be catering to Sunday tourists who come to eat frozen fish, mistakenly believing it to be fresh. These establishments occupy the beach with unnecessary umbrellas and large structures that are not removed even in winter, despite the "free equipped beach" designation. The Ortona section is experiencing significant erosion and may disappear within a few years. The water quality is affected by the presence of the Feltre stream and the Cinzioni ditch (which gives the beach its name), making it less than ideal. The beach is mainly frequented by local residents during the week, and on weekends, it attracts locals from the hinterland and "Sunday cycle tourists."
