A nice quiet beach 1km away from the train station. If you cycle from Hillerod you will go through a lovely forest area.
I guess it is a really nice beach when you don't have gusts of 137 miles per hour wind and it is sunny. None of it was the case when I visited. Instead go the the huge forrest park behind the beach and have a walk. Careful, spent the night at a shelter there and came home with 5 baby ticks. Nobody warns you of them. Cheers.
The beach is very large and long. The sands are white and refined. There is sufficient space for parking. There is a store which serves ice cream and food for large snacks and meals. Outside the store, there are plenty of tables and hammocks to set up and unwind while eating snacks.
If you love water, nature, sunset, this is the place to go. An hour ride from Copenhagen, you can walk in the forest, swim in the clean sea on a warm sunny day or just chill on the beach with ice cream and amazing food. The most beautiful sunset with millions of hues will just mesmerise you and leave you wanting for more. The drive through the summer houses and quaint little town is also very beautiful. Must visit 🌼
Beautiful place, great water, nice sand. Be careful of the rocks on the water at high tide. Lots of kite surfers when it's windy, very peaceful if you walk a bit further on. The town is friendly and fun.
