I recently visited Nickel Beach in Port Colborne for the first time, and I was absolutely blown away by its beauty and tranquility. This hidden gem offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and family-friendly amenities. The sandy beach is expansive and well-maintained, providing plenty of space to relax, sunbathe, and play. The water is clean and refreshing, making it ideal for a swim on a hot day. What stood out the most to me was how dog-friendly the beach is! I brought my dogs along, and they had an absolute blast running around and splashing in the water. There are designated areas where dogs are welcome, ensuring everyone has a great time. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced, and the facilities were clean and accessible. There are picnic areas and plenty of spots to set up for a lovely day by the water. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, with friendly locals and fellow visitors enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Whether you're looking for a serene spot to unwind or a fun place to bring your family and pets, Nickel Beach is a fantastic choice. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

Parking is extremely pricey. We came at 5 pm and only gave us one option. $35 which is ridiculous because nobody would be staying here until midnight anyway. The overwhelming sewer smell as you walk closer and closer to the beach. Water looks dirty. The sand is nice but that's the only good thing about it. I wouldn't waste money again to come here. We brought the kids to do splashtown on the lake and were given 2 different times it closes. On the website it says it closes at 7pm but when we got here we were told 6pm. They have one inflatable boat that takes you there or you have to swim to it. Not worth coming here in my opinion.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !! Piles, I mean piles of dead fish, smells absolutely atrocious. Expensive parking if you’re not a local, flies everywhere because of the piles of dead fish. This place is a disaster that needs to be closed down or properly maintained.

Very nice clean beach 🏖, water is clear and warm , not sure if only this time but there’s gates and can’t drive up to the shore , parking for day is $45 , beach closes 9:00pm , SMELL OF FISH 🐠 and also spotted 3 dead fish in the water not sure the reason

Once upon a time, it was good. Not anymore for the following reasons; 1- They stopped announcing if there any issues on the beach. For example on August 17th 2024 ( few days ago), beach was full with dead fishes and stinky smell. We couldn't swim, it's was scary and disgusting for the kids. Despite the fact that it was the situation for 4 days!! Their objective is to make money only. 2- no place to wash your feet after using the beach. Very inconvenient. 3- can't take the car inside anymore. 4- water park very small and pricy. 5- expensive $50 parking fees. The other one away from entrance (not convenient with all stuff you've) cost $25.
