Little White Sandy Beach

This is a very good beach. Not a lot of people. We arrived at 10 a.m. and have the beach all to ourselves. the beach is clean and has powdery sand, very pleasant to walk barefoot, clear water. Some patch of black sands are minerals from back in the days of mining in the area. 2 ways to reach this beach. If you enter the national park headquarter, there is a trail at the park restaurant (1.2 km forest trail). Another is an easier trail (400 meter) from roadside entrance. It is a few hundred meters to the left of national park headquarter entrance. If you go inside the national park and keep going to the right and see a beach with some bangalow and lots of rocks, that is not Had Lek. It is a part of Khao Lak beach. National park bangkalow is there, so it is convenient to reach, shorter walk, but not as beautiful. Had Lek (Had = beach, Lek = Small) is to the left of the headquarter. Make sure you go to the right place.

Sparsely populated little beach just south of Khao Lak, part of the Thai national parks so a small entry fee is payable. 350mt walking trail to this lovely little beach.

A true oasis found by walking through the national park forest. After we took a dip in the sea we saw the jellyfish warning sign, so please be careful!!! There is a small hut selling soft drinks to quench the thirst, especially if you took the walk along the coast through the jungle entrance.

A nice and cozy beach with possibility to snorkel! This hidden gem can be reached from two directions, either with a 10 minutes walk (400 m) from the main road or by an hour of walking through jungle terrain (1.5 km). The chosen path depends on your physics and we chose to park pur motorbike close to the beach and then walk a small part of the longer path, which was perfect because it started to rain. The price is about 100-150 bath to enter the nation park depending on type of vehicle and from where you buy the tickets.

This National Park has the beautiful Small Sandy Beach (Hat Lek Beach). If you only want to visit Small Sandy Beach use the south entrance as the trail to the beach is shorter and you don't need to complete the nature trail. The beach is unspolit and beautiful. When we visited we were the only ones there. There is a small kiosk selling drinks and snacks but this may not be open in low season. The Hat Lek Nature Trail is also amazing. The nature trail runs along the coast from the main visitors centre and ends up at the Small Sandy Beach. The narrow jungle path requires a good physical condition and is unsuitable for small children. We recommend wearing proper shoes, not flip flops as you will walk and climb on different surfaces as the path rises and falls along the cliffs. You will be rewarded regularly with beautiful sea views. As the nature trail is in the National Park, it is well maintained and you will not see any litter. The staff will provide a map for you which indicates points of special interest to spot along the trail. There is parking at the visitor centre. Entrance fee THB100 which also includes Ton Chong Fa waterfall on the same day.
