This beach park is very nice. It tends to be super windy in April. There is an outdoor shower available to rinse off the sand. The bathrooms could use some improvement. The views are breathtaking and perfect for photos. There are also lots of birds.
We arrived on a weekday at around 1 PM and were able to find a parking space. We were informed that the small parking area is usually full in the morning as local surfers come here to catch the waves and stay for a few hours, but it seems possible to find a parking spot in the afternoon. The entrance to the trail doesn't have any signs, but it's right next to the parking lot. The trail is quite short, taking only about 15 minutes to descend, but the slope is steep, so it's advisable to wear closed-toe shoes. Once you reach the bottom, you'll discover a small beach with plenty of shade. I suggest coming here earlier in the day as the beach faces north, causing it to get dark earlier in the afternoon.
First of all whoever wrote the description of Milolii Beach is wrong. This beach is not a free for all beach for all beach goers. Pets are not allowed down at the beach. There is a community that lives down there who are descendants of the original Milolii Fishing Village. Who still practice traditional fishing that is passed down from generation to generation. There is no PUBLIC ACCESS to Honomolino beach. The county does not take care of the trail. The shoreline is under CBSFA. So to the author of the description of Milolii beach you should talk to a local community member first to get your facts straight.
