This beach is incredibly clean and beautiful, with ample parking available. I went there to search for interesting rocks, and it turned out to be a lovely spot to sit and watch the water.
The beach was stunning, and they allowed dogs without any charge. We would definitely visit again.
We had a fantastic day at Michigan Beach Park with our family. The beach was well-maintained, there was ample parking, and the restrooms were conveniently placed. Just a small note, there are quite a few rocks near the water's edge, so if you have sensitive feet, it might be a good idea to bring water shoes. However, once you get past the initial rocky area, the sand on the beach and lake bottom is perfect. Apart from that, we highly recommend paying a visit!
To be honest, I'm not sure if it's the time of year or simply the day, but it was pleasantly cool and stunningly beautiful. The location offers a scenic view of both the lake and harbor. Afterwards, you can easily drive down to the beach area and enjoy a leisurely stroll on the pier or along the sandy shore. The water has a lovely green hue and the beach itself is well-maintained and clean. I can't think of any problems or concerns. Additionally, there are plenty of dunes where you can take a relaxing walk or simply unwind. Overall, it's a great spot for a secluded family getaway!
This beach is a great find, tucked away from the usual crowds and perfect for bringing your furry friend along! The sandy beach is lovely, the water is peaceful, and there are no rocks to worry about. Additionally, there is a picnic area, playground, and restroom facilities available.
This is my second favorite lighthouse in Michigan, with Grand Haven being my top choice! The beach here is adorned with beautiful, flat white rocks that have been polished by Lake Michigan. As an avid rock hunter, I was thrilled to find numerous fossils, including Petoskey stones 😀. Although the visitor center was closed during my visit, the lighthouse itself is breathtaking in person. I highly recommend this spot for anyone interested in lighthouses or rock hunting!
