Vala Hrvaska III

We spent four wonderful days at Hidden Gem by Nono Ban. The accommodation is located in a beautiful bay on the southern side of the island of Brač. A more or less private road leads to the accommodation, which is a real treat for the driver. We stayed in the Robinsonade Hidden Gem III, which I personally highly recommend. It is a hobbit-style accommodation, where there are two bedrooms with a bathroom and a toilet. All this is dominated by an outdoor kitchen with seating and a terrace, from which there is a wonderful view of the sea, the island of Hvar opposite and the surrounding nature. The "cherry on the cake" is a few meter path with steps to a private concrete area with a small cave, where we had the sea all to ourselves. For us, the absolute minimum shortcoming was the absence of steps from the water. We didn't even want to go shopping in the city from such a wonderful place. I am very glad that we could spend a few wonderful days in this accommodation.

Idilic place. The waters are incredibly clear. The house is equipped with the basics what you need for a pleasant stay (kitchenware, amenities, sunbeds, fireplace...) The road is narrow, windy and very steep. I suggest driving a small car and making sure that nobody else is driving up or down at the same time. The owner was helpful and helped us to arrange a rental car for the 3 days we spent in Brač. Pd. There is a cat in the surroundings. He liked to join us in the evenings. He didn't get too close or disturb but he seemed to enjoy the company. We left food for him in the house. Please consider providing him with water and food. Be kind to every kind ✨️ Enjoy your stay

A very beautiful and peaceful cove, which is reached by a steep, narrow and winding road with tricky serpentines. The young host was sociable and I have no complaints about him. Accommodation has potential, we tried two out of three houses, but most of them are not functional. In general, there is a lack of shelves and hangers for storing things. In one house there were no basic kitchen utensils such as salt, pepper and oil. The biggest house has a beautiful terrace and that's a really big plus. The minus is that there is no water outside at the pump and everything gets smoky while grilling because it does not have a chimney. In the second house, the grill has a chimney that does not draw so that everything is smoky again. Wi-fi works fine, the stove is gas-powered, and showering in hot water depends on the sun (in spring it's quite tricky because there are also cold/dark days).. Yes, the lighting in the houses should be improved a bit. All in all, I think the price is too high for what they offer (peace, sun, bay and deckchairs at home) and they should definitely consider offering additional activities for guests, such as sup and/or kayak or at least deckchairs for the beach...

A beautiful place. Absolute peace and far away from crowded beaches. Pure Croatia feeling. Only small rental boats come into the bay during the day, otherwise it is very quiet.
