At this time of year, the beach is very quiet. We visited yesterday and there were only three cars in the car park. There are sand dunes for the kids to play on. The beach near the car park is quite pebbly but transitions into sand. It's not a small beach; it has a decent length. There are a few food stalls, but they were closed, possibly due to the season. Car park fees are ÂŁ6 for the whole day, and from 6pm to 8am it's ÂŁ1. I've been in the area many times but had never seen this beach before. I enjoy discovering new places.
This is the perfect beach for a dog walk, provided you stay on the path to avoid the deep mud. Additionally, you can find the Blue Plaque for Olaf Stapleton nearby—what an incredible man!
We parked at the car park at Formby Point and took a short stroll to reach the beach. The beach is absolutely beautiful, stretching out as far as the eye can see. It was a delightful experience walking on the beach, and the sand dunes added an extra element of fun. No matter your age, you can still enjoy climbing to the top and sliding down the dunes. I highly recommend visiting Formby Beach for a great time.
Meals Beach is a fantastic spot with beautiful views and much more convenient parking compared to West Kirby. There's plenty of on-street parking available. It's perfect for walks and cycling along the promenade, and the sunsets are stunning. It's one of my favorite places in the Wirral, offering a truly relaxing experience.
This was my first time at this beach and I absolutely enjoyed it. There are designated areas for walking along the coast paths, which is great for those who enjoy it. Additionally, there are plenty of beautiful scenery and opportunities for taking photos. With ice cream shops nearby, it's a perfect day out for families. The beach is spacious and I believe many people will have a great time here. I'm already excited for my next visit.
